NEO STC strives to add value to its members by providing a variety of educational and networking opportunities. Monthly program meetings give you a chance to hear discussions about timely topics from the thought leaders and practitioners who represent the future of the profession, and to share in dinner with fellow professionals.
Register and join the NEO STC community for its November Program Meeting - A Translation Panel Discussion with Joann Rasmussen, Elena Dunne, and Scott Carothers. These three successful people will speak to the group about Simplified Technical English, Translation Outsourcing, and Global Translations.
Simplified Technical English: You'll hear a broad definition of Simplified Technical English, hear about facts regarding its growing demand, and see a demonstration of techniques with a software solution.
Translation - To Outsource or Not To Outsource: Companies in need of translation or localization services have several choices: hire one or more in-house translators, subcontract to freelance translators, or work with one or more language service providers (LSPs). This presentation will explore the advantages and disadvantages of each approach to completing translation and localization projects. It will also discuss how to select the approach that is most suitable to your company's specific needs and requirements so that you can develop a cost-effective and scalable long-term strategy.
Global Translations: Learn about the new way to simplify, facilitate, and illuminate your translation processes when going global, ensuring maximized content reuse with business intelligence at your fingertips that validates never-before-seen vendor ratings. You will also hear how vendor validation puts you in total control of the translation process.
