2013 Scholarship Update
Our 2013 scholarship recipient is Sarah Perrine from Youngstown State University.
Sarah Perrine recently completed her junior year at Youngstown State University and is pursuing dual degrees in professional writing and editing and environmental studies. In addition to her coursework in the University Honors Program, Sarah is active with the Youngstown Environmental Studies Society, the Campus Beautification Working Group, and the local Grey to Green Festival. Last summer, she interned as a grant writer with the Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District. She also donates times to the Brookfield Positive Steps After-School Program. In her application, Sarah demonstrated a dedication to her technical communication studies, a passion for sustainability and environmental awareness, and a true potential to be a leader in the field.
