Just in time for the Holidaze! A charity raffle to benefit the Cleveland Foodbank and YOU can benefit too! In two different ways!
First, have you bought a book with all good intentions of reading but never got around to it? DONATE THAT ITEM! Did Aunt Ruth give you a twin pack of barbeque sauce for the Labor Day cookout that you didn’t use? Add a pair of cool mitts and a grocery card for a slab of ribs, and you’ve got a gift basket. DONATE THAT BASKET! Find a home for those unwanted items.
We need your items for our Charity Raffle, which will run through December 11th. You can donate or pledge (which means you are obligated to donate) books, tools, software, event tickets, whatever you’d like to donate. We need to know about all the items by December 9th.
Every item “tells a story”, so come up with a sentence or two about your item and include a picture. You can include your name or remain anonymous. Email your information to NEO webteam. All information will be posted online as we get it, so check the web site often.
Second, you can BUY TICKETS for the items you want to win. Starting on December 1st, tickets can be purchased at $1 each or 11/$10. Print the ticket as many times as you want and mail them by December 6th with your check made out to the Cleveland Foodbank to Ginny Haas, PO Box 39444, Solon, Oh 44139
The winning tickets will be pulled at the December 11th meeting. Please be sure to bring the items you donated and pick up what you’ve won. Winners need not be present to win; however, you are responsible for picking up what you’ve won because SanTa Claus doesn’t deliver this early.
THE FINE PRINT: Winners are obligated to pick up their items. Nothing is shipped. “UPS” does not occur anywhere within “NEO STC”. Not responsible for late mail. Hey, it’s the Holidays, remember?!

The Art of Agile Development Book
This book provides a complete how-to guide and starter kit for beginning and intermediate agile practitioners. To keep the book concrete and practical, the focus is on XP.
If you're new to agile and are looking for a simple, direct, and comprehensive "how to" guide, you'll like this book. Experienced practitioners will find a lot to like as well. There are detailed coverage of areas that often challenge teams: how to involve testers; how to have nearly zero bugs; how to mix design and architecture with incremental, customer-focused development; and release planning strategies and tactics.
The Art of Agile Development website contains a cornucopia of bonus material, such as downloadable posters, behind-the-scenes material, and new insights.
All of the bonus material is linked from the table of contents below. New content will be added starting in January 2009..

Zydrunas Ilgauskas Autographed Basketball
The Cleveland Cavaliers have certified this autographed basketball to be authentic and personally hand signed by #11, Zydrunas Ilgauskas. It would make the perfect gift for, well, YOU! Or for that lucky Cleveland Cavs fan.
In case you didn't know . . . Ilgauskas (born June 5, 1975 in Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, USSR) stands 7' 3", making him currently the second-tallest NBA player, after the Houston Rockets' Yao Ming, and he weighs 260 pounds. Ilgauskas has established himself as a consistent scorer, scoring 14.4 ppg over 627 career games (through February 2008). Ilgauskas is a good rebounder (7.9 rpg, 3.2 offensive) and shot-blocker (1.8 blocks per game). His assists-per-game average was at its highest at 1.6 during the 2006-2007 season. He is also an established mid-range and foul shooter. (thanks, Wikipedia!)
